    The Business Services Division delivers services to support the educational programs of Orange County school districts, partnering agencies, and the business community it serves. The division strives to improve efficiency and implement business solutions with a high level of customer service and professionalism, while fostering a collaborative work environment.

    OCDE is seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated individual to serve as Manager, District Systems Support. The selected individual will lead the Human Resource support team responsible for application support services provided to Orange County school districts as well as the Orange County Department of Education. Application services include district human resources, payroll, time and attendance, and related services. This position will evaluate application systems, coordinate implementations, provide management assistance, and analyze processes and services for school districts, community colleges, and the county office. The Manager, District Systems Support will provide consultation regarding the use and application of information systems. They will select, train, supervise, and evaluate assigned personnel. Other responsibilities will include strategic planning, identify resource needs, establish schedules, and methods for providing specialized services. Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of large-scale application support programs. The person selected will also, coordinate/facilitate district advisory meetings and make presentations to districts staff.

    Requirements / Qualifications:Education and Experience:
    • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance business, public administration, information systems, or a related field.
    • Five (5) years of responsible professional experience in application support within the area of human resources or payroll.
