    Position summary:

    JMT is seeking a project manager in the Washington, DC area for an exciting opportunity to work with the federal government.

    The project manager will provide construction project oversite using knowledge of general engineering and construction principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate and execute.

    Essential skills and responsibilitiesAssist in development of Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projectsProvide construction management oversight during all phases of the projectAssist with the creation and maintenance of project schedulesAssist in the preparation and updating of cost estimatesAssist in preparation of project budgetsPrepare reports and logs such as inspector daily reports, cost to date, estimated cost to complete, submittals, RFIs, etc.

    Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplinesRequired SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Proficient written and verbal communication skillsStrong work ethic.

    Willing to do what it takes to get the job doneAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamRequired Experience10 years experience as project manager of vertical construction projectsLead project manager on large federal construction projects or programs within past 10 yearsPreferred ExperienceBachelors degree in engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited engineering, construction management or architectural programKnowledgeable with CPM scheduling.

    Experienced with Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft ProjectOSHA CertifiedCertified Construction Manager (CCM)Experience working with governmental agencies at the federal, city, county and state levelsKnowledgeable in construction testing, inspection and commissioning requirementsWorking ConditionsWork is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment.

    Office to field time is approximately 5% to 95% respectively.

    Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.

    Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.) may be required.
