About the position:

If you are looking to get into the hospitality/food & beverage profession, here is a great place to start Looking for individuals who are excited to work with people and learn how to make great poolside drinks as well as serve bar & grill type food to our resort visitors. If you have experience or looking to get some experience and willing to learn, this is the position for you

Hours:

Full Time-Day Shift

*Additional hours and shifts may become available and subject to change*

Essential Functions:

Perform opening /closing restaurant duties
Take and deliver orders for guests
Prepare nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages and some food items to restaurant standards
Interact with guests, vendors, and other staff in a pleasant and professional manner
Set and maintain banquet service as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Maintain own cash drawer and cashier reports
Enforce Resort Pool Policies and Procedures
Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Education/Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED
Alcohol awareness training
Knowledge of local and state laws regarding alcohol sale and consumption
Must have or obtain food handlers permit within 2 weeks of employment
6 months experience and/or education in serving / bartending preferred but not required, training available

Specific Skills Required:

Must have food handlers permit
Self motivated/ team oriented
Display courtesy and professionalism in all contacts
Excel at time management
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Cash handling experience
Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Able to multitask
Must have intermediate knowledge of POS (Point of Sale computer) system.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and or push up to 50lbs, move, stand, walk, traverse, crouch/stoop, kneel, repetitive hand/wrist motion, reach, bend, and see.
Must be able to recognize, distinguish, and convey information.
Have the ability to converse with staff & guests with great consistency
