    Job Purpose

    Manages the enterprise network to ensure high levels of availability and performance of all Christie Lites Locations. Participates in planning and implementing policies and procedures to ensure network provisioning and maintenance are consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure networks are operating within specifications
    • Implements network stability and performance improvements.
    • Provides network troubleshooting support.
    • Provides guidance for network activities.
    • Configures network hardware and wireless systems.

    1. Ensure networks are operating within specifications by:

    • Collects and analyzes network performance data.
    • Performs scheduled on-site audit and Wi-Fi performance testing.
    • Making necessary adjustments/location changes to network equipment to ensure a high level of client performance.

    2. Implements network stability and performance improvements by:

    • Performing regular firmware updates on network hardware
    • Ensuring endpoint devices are being operated according to company policy.
    • Making configuration changes to support new systems or technologies.
    • Ensures regular configuration backs are performed and tested.

    3. Provides network troubleshooting support by:

    • Leveraging advanced troubleshooting tools and techniques to resolve performance issues efficiently.

    4. Provides guidance for network activities by:

    • Designing, configuring, and documenting IT infrastructure.
    • Acting as local technical advisor for network and Wi-Fi projects.
    • Evaluating and developing process improvements and strategic system direction.
    • Defining corporate-wide network standards.
    • Researching advancements in network and wireless technologies and providing strategic alternatives.
    • Mentoring team members in the support of IT network and related utilities.
    • Directing the evaluation of future hardware/software purchases and preparing business case justifications.

    5. Configures network hardware and wireless systems by:

    • Performing Router, Switch, Wireless, and Firewall configurations and deployments.
    • Performing high-level troubleshooting of all network equipment.

    Professional Attributes for success in this role

    • Four-year degree in Business or Computer Science.
    • 8+ years of progressive experience.
    • Strong operational & and production support background.
    • Cisco, Meraki, and Ubiquiti hardware experience.
    • Expert knowledge of wired and wireless networks, utilities, administration, backups, and monitoring.
    • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, 802.1q, a,b,g,n,ac,ax), QOS, switching and routing, and current trends and changes in technologies.
    • Demonstrated technical leadership with strong interpersonal skills.
    • CCNA, CCIE, and CWNP are preferred.
