Clinical Fellow - Memphis, United States - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
Description
The primary objective is to develop a comprehensive understanding of the role of radiotherapy in multidisciplinary oncology care for pediatric patients. Furthermore, the clinical fellow will aim to attain proficiency in the treatment and management of prevalent pediatric cancer diagnoses.To accomplish this, the secondary objectives are as follows:
1.Enhance proficiency in contouring, planning, delivery, and aftercare for radiotherapy in commonly occurring pediatric tumors.
2.Observe the radiotherapy workflow at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and identify avenues for improving the treatment experience for patients and their families in his home country.
3.Recognize the significance of a multidisciplinary treatment approach in achieving optimal management outcomes for pediatric tumors, with a focus on evidence-based practice.
4.Establish a platform for ongoing support and guidance to ensure the maintenance of high standards of practice and care for pediatric oncology patients.
5.Identify key areas of interest and develop a relevant research project in those areas, with the intent to publish and disseminate any new knowledge generated from this exploration.
