Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance across our facility. Your expertise in industrial mechanics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and precision instruments will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all machine shop equipment, including grinders, mills, lathes, and CNC machines
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics and analysis skills
- Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, sensors, valves, and wiring systems
- Use precision measuring instruments like ampmeters, ohmmeters, calipers, and micrometers to ensure equipment accuracy
- Maintain detailed maintenance records
- Conduct electrical work involving low voltage and high voltage systems safely and effectively
- Operate field service tools such as scissor lifts for access to elevated machinery or components
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing facility or similar environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in hydraulics, welding, and schematics interpretation
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician skills
- Ability to read technical diagrams and troubleshoot electrical circuits using ammeters and ohmmeters
- Familiarity with maintenance tracking and reporting
- Excellent analysis skills to diagnose complex machinery issues quickly
- Prior military or field service experience is a plus for this energetic role
