JOB DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Director of Physical Therapy, Dietary Supervisor, and Staff Physical Therapist, the Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant treats residents as directed

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists to:Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting the patient's status and reporting it to a physical therapistHelp patients complete specific exercises as part of the plan of care and treat patients using a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretchingUse specialized devices and equipment to assist patientsServe as a liaison to residents, families, support departments, etc.

, to adequately plan for residents' needsRecord patients' progress and report the results of each treatment to the physical therapist, working with them to discuss and evaluate resident information for planning, modifying, and coordinating treatmentOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:
Current PTA license in NYS requiredPrevious PTA experience preferredExperience in long-term care preferredMust be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliableStrong customer service skills and compassionVaccination required
