    Automation Specialist

    (Sales Engineer)

    The

    Automation Specialist

    manages existing customers and develops new accounts to grow sales and marketshare in the territory.


    The ideal candidate has existing knowledge of industrial automation products and their applications in manufacturing as well as an existing network of contacts within the territories customer base.


    A TSI Automation Specialist takes a consultative approach; identifying customer business and automation challenges, crafting solutions with current TSI offerings, and documenting a value proposition for the customer's machinery or process.

    An


    Automation Specialist ultimately drives the strategy for account revenue / growth for the territory, as well as developing new customers.

    You will create sales proposals, quotes, specifications and presentations for customers.

    Other responsibilities include preparing thorough strategic plans, call reporting, gaining comprehensive product knowledge as well as keeping current on market trends.

    You will be the primary point of contact for customers to our internal customer service, engineering, and operations groups.


    Additionally, you will develop professional working relationships with TSI supplier partner representatives and involve their factory resources to win new business.


    Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a four-year Engineering degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical or Electrical Engineer and 3+ years' experience in industrial automation sales selling multiple product lines similar to ours.

    Experience managing a sales territory coupled with a broad understanding of the industrial automation marketplace is essential.

    The ability to penetrate new potential clients and form relationships with existing clients in the territory is crucial to your success.
