    Fewer than one-third of our eighth graders are proficient in math. Together, we can help change this

    As a Math Impact Fellow, you will offer vital assistance to children who need extra help with basic math concepts throughout the summer and school year.

    During the summer months, you will support academic enrichment activities aimed at improving students' math skills.

    When school is in session, you'll be placed at a local school to tutor small groups of students in fourth through eighth grades.

    Service locations may differ between the summer and school year.
    With training and on-site coaching, you'll be prepared to empower students in their math journey. Your commitment during the summer months and throughout the academic year guarantees a significant impact.

    By the time they begin their service, our Math Impact Fellows are:

    Competent with basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
    Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing .
    18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
    A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
    DACA applicants may be eligible for Americorps VISTA programs. As an AmeriCorps program we have both federally provided benefits and program specific benefits.
    Segal AmeriCorps Education Award* which can be used to pay tuition or repay qualified student loans. Child care assistance — based on family size and income.
    Math Corps is powered by AmeriCorps members who serve as tutors.

    Started in 2008, Math Corps has helped more than 55,000 kids in grades K-8 build foundational skills and get on track with math.

    Math Corps is an Ampact educational program that is fueled by research from the National Science + Service Collaborative.
