Job Information:

Diagnose and Repair Material Handling Equipment from all Manufacturer's Lines

What youll do as a Technician:

Diagnose and Repair various brands of material handling equipment within a shop.
Maintain a very high level of customer service at all times
Work in a safe manor always adhering to all OSHA regulations
Recommend methods for service improvements

Role & Responsibility:

Technical Standards Comprehension and Proficiency

Comprehend and retain knowledge of OSHA Compliance standards
Proficiency or basic understanding of how to read wiring schematics and hydraulic schematics
Read Technical drawings, vehicle manufacture's specifications, work orders, instructions, formulas, or processing charts

Compliance Controls

Safety Procedures-Adhere to safety procedures and perform all work in a safe manor.
Equipment Selection - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Repairing - Repair machines or systems using the needed tools.
Troubleshooting – Determine cause of the equipment failure and how to repair it

Job Requirements:

Education Required: High School Diploma (or GED or High School education equivalent)
Education Preferred: Post-Secondary Certificate in Mechanical Field (Diesel Mechanic's)
Customer and Personal Service
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing high levels of customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction

Mechanical/Electrical Operations, Maintenance

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses repair and maintenance

Skills Required

Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Time Management - Managing ones own time effectively and in accordance with customer expectations.
Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Equipment Maintenance - Proficiency in Diesel, Gasoline and LP fuel systems. Must have a basic knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems, pumps, pressures, and functions. Preference given to candidates with experience on Curtis Electric Controllers and/or SME Electric Controllers
