- Manage small scale manufacturing projects through duration of the internship
- Work to improve efficiency of manufacturing processes
- Assist in the creation of fixturing and tools
- Assist in documenting work procedures and provide feedback to improve manufacturing processes.
- Identify areas of future improvement
- Works with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to ensure Design for Manufacturability of product.
- Must be able to communicate fully with supervisor(s) and coworker(s).
- Support Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, and Quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues
- Continuously improve the quality of manufacturing processes
- Assist with root cause analysis activities with multiple departments
- Adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices and report any potential hazards to supervisor
- Attend meetings and training as required
- Any other duties assigned that fall within the employee's capabilities
- Rising sophomore, junior, or senior status in BA Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- Beneficial to have mechanical aptitude.
- Beneficial to being able to use 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred.
- Intermediate computer experience: MS Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook
- Commitment to safety
- Basic computer skills are required, and good organizational, prioritizing & problem-solving skills are needed.
- Able to read manufacturing prints.
- Able to understand and follow written/oral procedures and directions.
- Strong work ethic and results drive
- Good attendance
- An eye for details and precision
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness and demonstrated capacity to learn new things

Join Our Team as an Intern, Manufacturing Engineering at Epiroc
The Manufacturing Engineering Intern performs tasks to support heavy industrial manufacturing at LaBounty. The role is expected to assist in efficiency improvement, fixture design, process documentation, and identify areas for future improvement. There will also be a project assigned to the intern that will last through the summer, running from the project planning phase through implementation.
Work Type: This position will be based onsite at our Two Harbors, Minnesota facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.
