    Mail Handler Position Overview



    This mail handling position is a vital component of the postal service's operations, requiring individuals who can efficiently sort, label and distribute mail with accuracy.



    Responsibilities:



    • Assist customers by addressing mail-related inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner

    • Sort, label, and distribute mail accurately using established procedures to ensure efficient processing and delivery

    • Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, documentation management to support operational processes

    • Serve customers by providing services like mail forwarding holds during peak periods when necessary

    The successful candidate will be able to maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with USPS policies. To succeed in this role one needs good communication skills when assisting customers as well as excellent problem-solving abilities for an effective workflow.
