The future is here The Risk Management and Compliance Officer is a full time 12 month position responsible for leadership on all matters relating to risk and compliance within the College.

The Risk Management and Compliance Officer has remote availability after one year .

The Risk Management and Compliance Officer ensures the College is conducting business in full compliance with federal and state regulations as well as is the gatekeeper for all legal matters for the College.

The Risk Management and Compliance Officer reports to the Executive Vice President, Financial and Administrative Services.

Essential Job Functions:

Leads investigations in all Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints
Initiates all calls with legal counsel
Coordinates with College executive leadership to identify potential risks, implementing policies and procedures to uphold laws and regulations and monitoring the College's adherence to policies and procedures
Provides continuous improvement and revisions to College policies and procedures in conjunction with the Executive Assistant to the President
Leads all investigations involving worker's compensation claims
Provides grant compliance for program coordinators and the Director, Internal Controls & Special Projects
Plans and leads professional development to faculty and staff to ensure compliance and risk mitigation in all areas (Fair Labor Standards Act, EEOC, Discrimination, documentation of disciplinary actions, supervisor training, etc)
Leads all Title IX investigations involving faculty and staff
Assists and provides feedback to the Vice President, Student Affairs on all Title IX investigations involving students
Assists and provides feedback to the Vice President, Student Affairs on all student code of conduct investigations
Co-Leads emergency response preparedness in coordination with the Executive Vice President, Financial and Administrative Services and the Coordinator, Emergency Response Preparedness
Assists and provides feedback to the Director, Human Resources during the informal and formal grievance process and the dismissal process
Assists and provides feedback to the Chief Information Officer on data security and cyber security risk
Serves as a member of the President's Leadership Council
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a Business or related field from an accredited institution

Experience in academic leadership

At least two years of working experience in related duties and responsibilities specified

At least two years of working experience in community college

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to exhibit leadership, initiative, enthusiasm, teamwork and collaboration with faculty, staff and with external constituents in the execution of responsibilities

Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse communityADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment and effective use of all forms of communication including use of computers.
