Los Angeles is known for its art, rich culture, numerous sports teams and world-renowned dining. Observes, evaluates, and coordinates the care given to patients in the Special Procedures department.

Participates in direct and indirect care of all related activities according to the policies, procedures, philosophy and mission of the organization.

Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Registered Nurse experience with critical care experience or medical-surgical or experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab/Special Procedure department: Facility Specific License/Certifications:
~ Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required

Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes the assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Records analyzes hemodynamic parameters and calculates shunt and valves and other data.

Operates computerized MIDAS system with accuracy and evaluates and reports significant data and findings throughout all procedures for all patients of various age groups.

Operates other specialized equipment:

Datascope Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Baxter Cardiac Output, Automated Coagulation Timer (ACT) machine, American Optical Unistat Oximeter, Medrad injector, Life Pak, Defibrillator, Sony digital systems, GE Advantx X-ray system.

Collaborates with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.

Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team.
