Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will handle routine clerical tasks, filing, and data entry for accounting data, including accounts payable, billing, and receivables.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Carries out routine data entry tasks for accounting records, such as accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
Checks billing statements, invoices, and related documents for accuracy and informs supervisors of any discrepancies.
Distributes accounting reports as instructed.
May support with mail distribution, telephone answering, and other necessary clerical duties.
Adheres to all safety and PPE protocols.
Performs any other relevant tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Accurate and efficient data entry capabilities in computer software and systems.
Basic mathematical proficiency.
Effective verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferably trained in bookkeeping.

Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
