    Kollins Communications is seeking a highly organized and experienced Shipping/Receiving Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Shipping/Receiving Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the shipping and receiving operations within our company. This includes managing incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinating with carriers and suppliers, and ensuring efficient and accurate processing of orders. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and a proven track record of successfully managing a shipping/receiving department.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and supervise the shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and shipments
    • Coordinate with carriers and suppliers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments
    • Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with carriers to optimize costs
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and receipts
    • Oversee the packaging and labeling of products for shipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and customer service, to ensure smooth coordination of orders and deliveries
    • Train and develop the shipping/receiving team members, providing guidance and support as needed
    • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline shipping/receiving processes
    • Continuously monitor and improve operational efficiency, identifying areas for process optimization
    • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or documentation
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and company policies

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred)
    • Proven experience as a Shipping/Receiving Manager or in a similar role
    • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, including familiarity with carrier systems and documentation
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
    • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing and motivating a team
    • Proficient in using inventory management software and systems
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle challenges in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory standards
    • Forklift certification (preferred)
