- Acro Certification preferred, but willing to help compensate towards certification while working with our company.
- Proficiency in acrobatics instruction, including teaching foundational to advanced acro techniques
- Experience in creating lesson plans and structured class curriculums
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively work with students and parents
- Knowledge of proper safety practices to prevent injuries and ensure a safe learning environment
- Previous experience teaching in a dance studio setting is preferred
- Certification or specialized training in acrobatics or related fields is a plus
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young dancers to achieve their potential
- Ability to contribute creatively to choreography and group performances

Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site position for an Acro Instructor at SOUTH FLORIDA DANCE COMPANY, INC., located in Port St Lucie, FL. The Acro Instructor will be responsible for planning and conducting engaging and safe acrobatics classes for students of varying skill levels. Day-to-day tasks will include creating structured lesson plans, teaching proper Acro techniques, ensuring student progress, and maintaining a positive and encouraging classroom environment. The instructor will also ensure safety practices are a priority during all classes and collaborate with other teachers as necessary for choreography and performances as well as attend all staff meetings and must choreograph for the Winter performance and Spring recital.
-Classes are on Thursdays 3:15-7:00pm ( Acro levels 2,3,4

-Gas stipend offered to instructors traveling 45 min plus
-Staff receive two personalized complementary company shirts to wear while teaching
-Instructors get Holidays, Winter break, Spring break, and Summer off, with the exception of Summer Intensives and work shops that instructors may choose whether or not to participate.
