Job summary
Ensures equipment meets all quality control requirements and performs patient examinations utilizing age-specific care techniques in a safe and responsible manner evaluating image quality for good technical and diagnostic detail Collaborates with radiologists other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging continuity of patient care Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures demonstrating proficiency with camera acquisition computer processing adapting to new technology helping develop the knowledge competency coworkers students Maintains room readiness by keeping room neat supplies well stocked equipment prepared next patient initiating documenting work order requests malfunctioning equipment Plans manages time accurately perform enter required quality control patient radionuclide administration data exam charges timely manner Confirms proper examination/patient assignment images before releasing images interpretation follow correct erroneous accession numbers applicable system notify appropriate personnel transmitting after hours exams Identifies patients using approved guidelines confirm patient/exam accuracy continuing patient examination Reviews ensures physician requests meet clinically valid exam indicator requirements Prepares appropriate radionuclide procedures explains procedures patients aseptically administers radionuclides universal BSI principles
