    Sterile Supply Technician

    Summary:


    Coordinates and maintains supplies and equipment for Surgical Services particularly in connection with preparing and delivering case carts and supplies to the Operating Room and maintaining proper stocking levels of supplies within Surgical Services Departments.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Formal Education Required


    • High school level course work in English grammar, composition, and basic mathematics.
    Experience and Training Required


    • Experience with medical supplies and usage, medical terminology, and inventory control systems to include experience utilizing a PC to enter and access information preferred.

    • Ability to use a PC, related software, and calculator.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Ability to successfully pass typing test to meet light typing requirement within three (3) months of employment.
    • Ability to perform alphanumeric filing

    • Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
    Level of Physical Demands


    • Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects
    $15.30/hr - $18.36/hr

    The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.

    Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
