    Description
    This position requires the candidate to currently possess a State Certified Journeyman Card.


    The position requires the candidate to operate machinery and a variety of hand tools along with utilizing precision measuring tools to maintain and repair tools, build jigs/fixtures, and prototype production parts/tooling.

    The position includes but is not limited to operating CNC and manual milling machines and lathes; operating surface grinders and drill presses; understanding, interpreting, and making recommendations to blueprints, and ability to establish inspection methods to ensure conformance to print specifications.


    SAFETY
    :


    At all times follow established safety practices, ensure good housekeeping, maintain accurate records, and perform other activities as required in Vollrath's safety protocol.

    Adhere to all LOTO requirements as an Authorized Operator.


    QUALITY
    :

    Perform required quality checks and maintain accurate records of product characteristics. Observe and report deviations from quality standards or issues relating to the products produced in the tool room.


    DELIVERY
    :

    Ensure components are available for operations and/or engineering departments as required to meet delivery and up-time goals.

    Perform material handling of raw material, work in process, and finished product in support of the projects assigned to the tool room.


    COST
    :

    Monitor tool room backlog and make recommendations to the planning department and supervision. Analyze and make recommendations related to costs associated with consumable tooling, raw materials, and process development.
