    Overview:

    Axient is seeking a Business Development/Capture Manager to join our Space Segment team. Work location is anticipated to be a remote position with travel.

    Responsibilities:

    Duties will include, but are not limited to:

    • Relationship Management - Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with government customers, industry, academia, key consultants, and Subject Matter Experts. Leverage these relationships to assist in building win strategies, engage teammates, and garner SME support.
    • Data Management - Utilize and follow the Axient growth process including Salesforce database maintenance, research business opportunities, support gate reviews, and report status, as required.
    • Capture - Participate in the entire business development and capture process from market strategy and initial identification through proposal development. Learn the Axient capture process and work with Senior Capture Managers to research opportunities, perform competitive analyses, complete gap analysis and capability matrices, engage customers and potential teammates to capture business intelligence, coordinate proposal support across the Space Segment enterprise, with primary emphasis on the Air Force and United States Space Force (USSF) market in the National Capital Region.
    • Marketing Support Support the development and execution of customer marketing including attending conferences and developing marketing collateral, to include website updates, marketing brochures and company capability presentations.
    Qualifications:

    Minimum Requirements and Desired Experience:

    • 5+ years of related experience working in the National Capital Region market supporting a Space Force customer, program office, or contract.
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Knowledge of general business development or capture processes is preferred.
    • Strong mastery of customer relationship management processes.
    • The versatility, leadership skills, and initiative to help identify and qualify new business opportunities.
    • Strong interpersonal skills - oral, written, and listening are crucial.
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical and management capabilities and experience with customers and teaming partners.
    • Must currently have or must be eligible to obtain a DoD security clearance at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.

    Highly desirable:

    • Strong relationships within Air Force and USSF including AFRL, AFLCMC, Space Systems Command, Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM), and Space Operations Command (SpOC).
    • US Air Force Space or DoD service
    • Secret clearance
    • Ability to travel
