    Job Title: Commercial Lines Product Development Manager
    Employee Status: Regular
    Schedule: Full-time
    Location: Hybrid - defined as three days in office if residence is within 50 miles of Westfield Center, OH or Remote - if residence is over 50 miles from Westfield Center, OH

    Responsibilities :
    • Leads the strategic direction of the product portfolio for the assigned commercial lines of business. Consumes and understands market research provided by CL Product Research Analyst(s) to optimize the product portfolio.
    • Proactively monitors product performance by line and industry and makes recommendations for improvement. Manages appetite to align with the product portfolio to support profit and growth objectives.
    • Develops proposals, project plans, leads key activities, and serves as the subject matter expert related to the detailed design and implementation of product development initiatives, including product enhancements, launches or discontinuations.
    • Monitors competitive landscape to understand external forces and trends, economic conditions, regulatory issues affecting assigned lines of business and industries. Will also monitor emerging markets.
    • Collaborates with CL Product Management, Actuarial, and Business Leaders to build product roadmaps, analyze performance and understand loss and pricing trends.
    • Leads practice groups and project teams, delegating tasks to develop team members and motivating them to ensure timely completion of key deliverables. Manages relationships with individuals outside of the department to ensure product alignment across the enterprise.
    • Consults with underwriters on specific risks providing direction and expertise on policy language.
    • Conducts technical and product training for both internal business units and external business partners and customers.
    Qualifications:
    • 7+ years of experience in P&C industry.
    • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
      • Product Development
      • Product Management
      • Commercial Lines and/or Worker's Compensation Underwriting
      • Commercial Lines and/or Worker's Compensation Claims
    • Proven experience taking initiative and being a self-starter, with an ability to work collaboratively.
    • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, including facilitation and group presentation.
    • Experience communicating technical information to a non-technical audience.
    • Experience managing multiple projects. Experience in developing business requirements is a plus.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Experience thinking both strategically and tactically including experience perceiving the impact and implications of decisions on other areas of the organization. Understands cost benefit analysis.
    • Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint), SharePoint and Outlook.
    • Experience tactfully and persuasively handling conflict and negotiations.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, or Risk Management, or related field OR commensurate experience.
    • Holds or working towards obtaining industry designation (e.g., CPCU, CIC, CRM).
    • Physical essential functions: ability to work 40 hours in an office environment (sitting, standing, on a computer, etc.), operate office related technology (computer, phone, etc.), travel as required.
