- Develop and maintain standards for electrical and fire protection systems to meet Uline requirements and code compliance.
- Specify and procure emergency generators, associated electrical equipment and oversee delivery, installation and commissioning.
- Specify and procure warehouse lighting and lighting control systems and oversee installation and commissioning.
- Review subcontractor change order pricing for appropriate work hours, material quantities and mark-ups.
- Work with third-party design engineers on construction projects and coordinate resolution of any problems.
- Review electrical and fire systems submittals to ensure they meet design intent and Uline standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- 5 years of experience in the specification and installation of new building systems.
- Knowledge of construction techniques and HVAC, electrical and fire systems.
- Familiar with building, fire life safety, ADA and other applicable codes.
- Experience with Data Center UPS, generator, fire protection and associated systems.
- Read and understand Architectural, MEP, Structural and Civil plans and specifications.
