    Description*Job Duties/Responsibilities:
    Perform thorough inspection of each unit to insure qualityOperate various powered equipment efficiently and safelyVacuuming, and scrubbing of Biomed and WarehouseSweeping, dry or wet mopping in Biomed and WarehouseProperly high and low dusting of Biomed and WarehouseTaking proper care of dirty medical equipmentHandle soiled linen, trash, and biohazard appropriatelyClean assigned equipment to JCAHO expectationsAssist Biomed Technician and Warehouse Lead as necessaryReports broken or damaged equipment to the Warehouse lead or DME ManagerAdhere to the Tidewell Hospice policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations. This includes TJC accreditation standards, HIPPA requirements, OSHA and AHCA standards etc.
    Deliver and set up equipment. In addition, will instruct patient/caregiver on basic use and maintenance of equipment and maintain accurate delivery logs.

    When driving a company vehicle, adhere to driver safety guidelines and maintain assigned vehicle in a clean and orderly fashion.

    When dispatching, manages all daily routing and scheduling for deliveries, pickups, repairs and route updates, and provides customer service to patients/caregiver/IDT.


    Other duties as assigned by DME ManagerPosition Qualifications/Requirements:


    Education and/or Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Post Offer Employment Testing (POET) or Fit for Duty examination with Capable result required.
    Knowledge of DME preferred.
    Basic mechanical skills.
    Knowledge Medical Equipment cleaning procedures.
    Knowledge in Medical Equipment.
    Good communication skills.
    Must be willing and able to successfully complete computer literacy evaluation.
    Working knowledge of Sarasota, Manatee, Desoto and Charlotte County streets.
    Valid drivers license and driving record that qualifies as acceptable as per insurance requirements.
