The New Italian Restaurant in South Austin is looking for an experienced Executive Chef/Culinary Director to join their team. Job Functions:

• Oversee food preparation, production, sanitation, and kitchen safety.
• Create daily food production sheets.
• Ensure recipe adherence by all team members.
• Manage resources and tools efficiently.
• Analyze recipes and plate presentation.
• Ensure superior food quality and standards.
• Train staff on menu item specifications.
• Monitor food production, ordering, and waste.
• Manage food and labor costs effectively.
• Enforce brand guidelines.
• Identify staffing needs and oversee kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a 100-seat restaurant.
• Extensive food & beverage experience, including working with an open-fire pizza oven.
• Culinary degree preferred.
• Ability to pass drug and background checks.
