    Job Summary

    The Compensation Manager will assist with the strategy, design, administration, and maintenance of NorthStar Anesthesias compensation programs. This role will aid in ensuring NorthStars competitive market compensation position including merit, bonus, and equity. They will partner with corporate and clinical leadership to ensure we are able to attract and retain candidates, while maintaining internal pay equity.

    What you will do in this role

    • Partner with HR and executive leadership to codify NorthStars compensation philosophy
    • Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensures descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
    • Benchmark new and existing roles against survey data and other market intelligence tools to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position at all levels of the organization
    • Act as a trusted advisor to our business leaders, lending creative solutions to address total compensation challenges
    • Evaluate job positions to determine classification, exempt and nonexempt and salary of job positions in order to reward appropriately and fairly across organization.
    • Advises management on applicable state and federal employment regulations, benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures, and collective agreements.
    • Standardize our pay for performance model and lead our annual merit cycle, in partnership with Talent & the Corporate HR Business Partners.
    • Prepares data and participate in salary surveys. Provides research and/or analysis for special projects (i.e., State Wage Transparency Reporting, DOL requests, etc.).
    • Conduct Human Resource analytics, data analysis and interpretation of trends to support proactive planning.
    • Design and prepare ad hoc compensation, merit, and budget related reports for management.
    • Lead training and education with HR, Clinical Leadership, Executive Leadership, and others on compensation principles and best practices.
    • Remote: This position can work remotely; work site attendance in Irving, TX may be required from time to time in accordance with business conditions.
    • Hybrid: This position, if based in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex will work hybrid in-office Tuesdays and Wednesdays

    What qualifications you will need

    • Five+ years of experience in the compensation discipline.
    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred with an emphasis on compensation programs designed for clinicians and clinical leaders
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Proficient in Microsoft applications, with excellent database and spreadsheet skills
    • Prepare and present information in a clear and concise manner
    • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people at all levels of the organization. Demonstrative experience with collecting, analyzing, reporting and presenting data.
    • Ability to compile and analyze data that can be used to create a data storyline.
    • Ability to take initiative without established guidelines and procedures using independent judgment. High degree of attention to detail.
    • Ability to independently research problem areas, facilitate meetings and decision-making processes.
    • Strong executive presence and ability to lead consultative conversations with senior leaders
