- Establishes a well-managed, child oriented learning environment which is healthy, interesting and attractive. Provides a safe environment that will prevent and eliminate injuries. Maintains clean classroom equipment as outlined by established standards. (25%)
- Provides supervision and leadership of staff and volunteers through active direction and active involvement in childcare provided in the Playroom. (25%)
- Implements planned and purposeful play activities which are supportive of a child's needs during their visit to the Playroom. (20%)
- Plans for, orders and collects needed materials and equipment to support the activities within budgeted guidelines and in consultation with immediate supervisor. (20%)
- Greets and registers children from parent/guardian, noting any special instructions that parent may provide. Ensures that child leaves with parent or authorized individual. (10%)
- Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Human Development and Family Studies, Counseling, Child Development, Therapeutic Recreation or Child Psychology.
- Previous experience working with children.
- Child Abuse and Criminal Background Clearances.
- CPR Certification
- Computer skills / Microsoft Office Suite.
