- Provide first level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and network issues in a diverse user environment (example Engineering, Manufacturing, Financial, Quality and Maintenance)
- Work with team members in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis for resolving problems that have multiple dependencies (Databases, software products, computer hardware and peripherals, etc.)
- Install and configure desktops, laptops, tablets, peripherals and other hardware for shop users
- Install and maintain network equipment
- Installation and maintenance of shop connectivity
- Support BUS (Baldor Unified System) users as a liaison with other internal support staff
- Ensure data backups are being performed
- Support plant paging systems
- Requisition computer equipment to support plant operations and advise on software and hardware upgrades
- Supports Lean Flex Flow initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
- Associates Degree in Computer Science related studies required and minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of servers, networks, printer architectures and application landscapes preferred
- Knowledge with windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products
- BUS/SAP, Engineering Graphics and Quality System software experience desirable
- Must be creative, flexible in hours and self motivated with excellent team working skills
- Requires strong follow up skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Team oriented person with strong interpersonal, communication and cross functional working skills
- Ability to work in an aggressive due date environment
- Effective work across multiple projects is mandatory
