    Enterprise Data Engineer


    to join our team from day one Over the next two years, we will be rolling out Microsoft Dynamics 365 across our six + sites and are looking for a motivated and dynamic team member to drive our data conversion and system integrations.

    As the implementation winds down, the growth and leadership opportunities for this role will expand Post-implementation, the Enterprise Data Engineer will continue to play a pivotal ERP role after implementation, ensuring that we can fold future company acquisitions into our Microsoft Dynamics platform.

    In addition, this candidate will work with Komline's leadership to further develop and drive the company's enterprise data strategy.

    This is a high growth and development role; a successful candidate must have a natural affinity for data, as well as a solid understanding of data models, migration, integration and database design.

    Responsibilities:
    Actively participate throughout the design phase of our ERP implementation Understand Komline's ERP requirements, establish good working relationships with the team, and learn Komline's business model

    Drive risk-based data and integration decisions to minimize the amount of risk we take on with this new ERP

    Working with our SMEs and system integrator, drive the data extraction, transformation, and load of data from various legacy sources into our future Dynamics 365 platform

    Work with system integrator, third-party vendors & implementation team to design, develop, and troubleshoot critical integrations with Dynamics 365 (ADP, Concur, CAD systems, Salesforce, etc.)

    Develop and maintain documentation related to our data processes and integration architecture

    Working with IT and business leadership, further develop Komline's enterprise data strategy to make data a more powerful asset in business and sales decisions

    Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build/deploy new APIs to support changing data needs

    Drive enterprise system data integrations & conversions for future acquisitions

    Collaborating with our business stakeholders, design and implement data models, dashboards, and reports to support data-driven decision making

    Manage data integrity and data governance within Komline's data universe; secure our data & ensure accuracy and consistency

    Work closely with other members of the IT team, as well as business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet the needs of the organization


    Required Skills & Experience:
    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) 3 years of experience as a data engineer or similar role, with a focus on building data solutions on the Azure platform

    Proficiency with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and tools

    Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred

    Experience working with various Microsoft Azure data platforms and tools, such as Power Automate, Azure Synapse, SQL database, Power BI, Fabric, Azure data lake, and Azure data factory

    REST based APIs & REST oriented Architecture (ROA)

    HTTP, SFTP, SSH, and SOAP Protocols

    Experience or relevant knowledge of requirements gathering, systems design, architecture, and database administration

    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and/or Scala for data manipulation and transformation

    Familiarity with integrating and supporting various business systems and applications (CRM, HRIS, CAD/CAE)

    Understanding & experience with relational databases, unstructured data, data models and processes & functions like:

    Stored procedures

    Views

    Table node functions

    Temporary SQL tables, joins, and sub-queries

    Microsoft SQL, SQL Server BI Studio (SSIS), & SSRS

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

    Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Azure DevOps a plus


    Preferred Requirements:
    Primary work location is in Washington, DC

    Domestic travel averaging 15%
