If so, our Alternative Capital Partners (ACP) team is seeking a client-focussed problem solver with the ILS expertise to understand our range of strategies and communicate their differentiation to clients and prospects.

    About the Role

    You will work between the Portfolio Management and Business Development teams to deliver technical responses and insights to a range of partners around the World.

    The role could be based in any of ACP's key hub locations (Zurich, New York, London) and reports to the Head of ACP's Business Development team.

    Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure successful and timely response to ad hoc investor questions, Request for Proposals (RFPs), and other sales requests taking the lead to respond to technical ILS and product specific questions
  • Ensure Due Diligence Questionnaires and reporting databases are accurate and regularly updated
  • Contribute to new product development
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis, contribute to the creation of white papers, monthly letters and marketing materials
  • Support investor relations activities by providing analysis and insights, preparing financial reports, and assisting in investor communications.

    ACP Business Development is the link to build and foster direct partnerships between pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, insurers, asset managers and other institutional investors and Swiss Re. Our focus is to seek out partners looking to benefit from Swiss Re's underwriting expertise, experience, and access to the (re)insurance market.

    About You

    You bring an entrepreneurial spirit with high energy and passion A highly motivated self-starter with demonstrated history of taking initiative, you can pivot in a fast-changing environment and work well independently. You have a strong ability to operate in a rapidly developing business and detail-oriented environment, adapting to new circumstances with ease and speed.

    Key requirements include:

  • Undergraduate degree required (ideally in an analytical discipline such as mathematics or engineering)
  • 3+ years of work experience in Insurance-Linked Securities sales, structuring, portfolio management, underwriting or catastrophe modelling
  • Experience working within asset/fund management
  • Familiarity or experience with data analytics tools and relational database management (for example Python, Power BI, SQL)
  • Exceptional analytical, attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent client service aptitude and attitude
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines while managing time and tasks.
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • For New York City the estimated base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $270,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
