    FirstFour Staffing is partnered with a reputable manufacturing organization that is seeking to add a Production Manager to their team in Norfolk, Virginia.

    SUMMARY:
    This role demands a dynamic leader skilled in planning, scheduling, and maintaining the highest standards of production. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing background, with experience in naval welding programs and a demonstrated capability in implementing lean manufacturing principles.

    REPORTS TO: Vice President

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee daily operations of the fabrication shop ensuring that production schedules, quality, and cost objectives are met.
    • Develop and implement detailed plans and schedules to maximize efficiency and productivity.
    • Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of production processes.
    • Enhance manufacturing operations through the integration of ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Monitor and evaluate workflow and assembly methods and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
    • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to streamline production phases.
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to production staff.
    • Forecast needs and manage procurement of materials and equipment.
    • Regularly report on production status and progress to senior management.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience with Naval Welding (Nav Weld) programs is highly desirable.
    • Strong knowledge of ISO quality standards and experience in an ISO-regulated environment.
    • Certified Lean Six Sigma practitioner, with proven track record of implementing successful process improvements preferred.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in the use of ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
