- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement in Cognitive Impairment SA Three years satisfactory teaching experience including at least two years of teaching students with disabilities in a special education classroom Experience in programming for students with emotional impairments; accommodations/modifications desired Knowledge/experience with special education due process procedures writing of individual education plans data collection and adherence to timelines desired Successful background and experience working with students with emotional impairments Successful experience supervising/planning for paraeducators desired Experience with transition planning for students desired Successful experience communicating and working with parents desired
