    Who we are looking for:

    Re:Car is looking for an technical, dynamic and experienced Quality Engineering Leadto join our growing team. This position will be responsible for Body & Closures Systems, where effective engagement with the development team to deliver the highest quality levels with respect to product and process. The role must work closely with all internal and external partners to exceed customers' expectations. The role will be expected to have high integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness and strive to exhibit a positive and growth mindset. You will feel comfortable operating in a flexible and fast paced environment with a collaborative approach to achieving goals
    What you get to do:
    • Develop strategy and implement strategy for product quality from the customer's perspective.
    • Ensure the concept quality, usability and functional quality in our product provides safety and customer satisfaction.
    • Manage the quality market research activities, quality studies and benchmarks to determine customer quality requirements.
    • Oversee the definition of quality requirements, the quality maturity management and quality validation of functions and systems.
    • Risk minimization through use of appropriate risk assessment tools and verification of the robustness of detection and prevention systems for special characteristics.
    • Support the planning, execution and evaluation of product test drives within quality.
    • Execute quality approvals of functions and systems.
    • Definition of quality processes and technical standards in cooperation with development, product management and operations to ensure product quality.
    • Develop and provide leadership to the technical teams and drive/support daily operations.
    • Support and mentor team members, foster a culture of learning, and facilitate skill development to enhance the capabilities of the Technical Quality team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams with other departments to ensure robust designs and integration into manufacturing processes.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    What you bring to the team:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g.) industrial/ mechanical/ vehicle, or related field
    • 8+ years of experience in automotive engineering/product quality, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in an OEM/ Tier 1
    • Very good technical understanding and sound knowledge of product/vehicle development and production with focus on Body & Closures Systems.
    • A successful history of delivering new program launches on time while achieving metrics.
    • Very good product assessment skills, problem solving and root cause capabilities.
    • Sound knowledge of quality management with in-depth knowledge of Quality Engineering disciplines and risk management.
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills, a high level of assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and goal- and result-oriented decision-making skills
    • Proven track record of directly or functionally leading/ building high-performing teams.
    • Proficient in the use of commonly applied quality tools and processes in the automotive industry (e.g. IATF 169494, AIAG, VDA, APQP, PPAP).
    • Good working knowledge of DVP&R's, FMEA's and Control Plans
    • Ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Basic knowledge and understanding of legal compliance and product liability requirements.
    • Highest level of integrity and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
