    Position Overview:

    The Boeing Defense, Space and Security division is seeking an Engineering Configuration Management Lead to join the Configuration & Data Management Team in San Antonio, TX. to join the VC-25B Configuration and Data Management team.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Senior and Lead Level Configuration Management Engineers.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Leads the implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools.
    • Leads and directs the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Assures the integration of product elements; analyzes and resolves complex issues with engineering product structure. Leads and directs the development, integration and implementation of engineering technical program plans.
    • Collaborate with fellow configuration management engineers on configuration management principles and job practices, and support of industry quality audits for Configuration Management. Provide configuration management guidance to program team members.
    • Oversees and leads the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products.
    • Works under minimal direction.

    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

    • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
    • 5+ years of experience in configuration management principles and processes
    • 5+ years of experience with Product Data Management tools/systems such as TeamCenter and ENOVIA
    • Experience in performing Configuration Verification and Configuration Status Accounting activities including reconciliation between the as-designed and as-built hardware and or software
    • The skill and ability to collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings and develop conclusions/recommendations from the appropriate data sources.

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

    • Experience working with engineering and technical Data for KC-46, VC-25B, P8 or Commercial 767, 747, 737 or comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform
    • 5+ years' experience with Engineering Document/Drawing Creation and/or Release

    Typical Education & Experience:

    Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Lead (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range (Senior - Level 4): $113,050 - $152,950 Summary pay range (Lead - Level 5): $141,100 - $190,900
