    Position Summary

    We're seeking a full-time Buyer II for our Los Angeles-based corporate office. For this role, candidates should have prior experience in Kids Footwear/Categories, staying abreast of current trends and following trend-setting labels and brands. The Buyer II is tasked with identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and confirming delivered items. Working within a rapidly expanding team, collaboration with the creative team will provide hands-on experience. This dynamic team aims to launch new categories and expand product lines. Additionally, this role involves mentoring Assistant Buyers and contributing to the expansion of product lines within this exciting market segment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Understand the target audience thoroughly and consistently curate products that resonate with our customer base's preferences and needs, specifically in the children's footwear segment.
    • Develop and maintain close relationships with existing vendors while actively seeking out new vendors that align with our brand and product requirements.
    • Schedule regular meetings with vendors to ensure timely access to the latest samples and stay informed about new product offerings.
    • Provide clear brand strategy guidance to vendors and offer timely design direction to ensure product offerings are in line with our brand identity and market trends.
    • Be able to set and achieve monthly goals for the purchase of new styles, demonstrating a proactive approach to product selection.
    • Negotiate with vendors to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining product quality standards and enforce agreements to ensure timely delivery of orders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising and marketing, to align purchasing decisions with company objectives and promotional strategies.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
    • Proven experience in buying or procurement, with a focus on children's footwear or related children's categories.
    • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey brand strategy and design direction.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed purchasing decisions.
    • Detailed-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Fluency in Chinese is highly preferred.

    Pay

    $69,805.00 min -$85,000.00 max annually. Bonus offered.
