    POSITION SUMMARY
    In a typical 24-hour production cycle, we conduct 30,000 documented quality checks involving ingredient/packaging, receiving, processing, and packing. Thats how much we care.

    As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will assist with ingredient and finished product testing as well as ensuring food safety for all pet food manufactured at the Flagstaff factory.

    You possess a broad understanding of food safety standards, compliance, sanitation principles and good laboratory practices.

    Day to day, you will set up and monitor the sensory lab, support microbiological testing, and enter quality test data.

    You will be responsible for ensuring all products are manufactured according to product formulation and quality specification requirements.

    Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the plant policies, local laws and OSHA/MSHA Standards.
    Contributes to and participates in team effort by engaging in Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) activities to drive results.

    Sample finished product and perform tests for bushel weight, date codes, composition, color, shape, size, odor, etc., based on quality management systems and finished product specifications.

    Maintain approved product formulas for batching and maintain all regulatory requirements.
    Communicate laboratory results to production in a timely manner to ensure a quality product.
    Prioritize good laboratory and sanitation practices.
    Maintain and operate all laboratory equipment including troubleshooting and calibrating.
    Prepare and maintain a program encompassing Quality Monitoring Scheme to provide assurance of quality Products.

    Requirements

    High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
    2+ years of experience working in food quality, lab, manufacturing, production, military or related environment.

    The approximate pay range for this position is $39,000 to $57,000.

    Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.

    Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
