- Operate fork trucks safely and efficiently, ensuring proper use of scanning equipment including but not limited to handheld scanning devices, printers, etc.
- Ensure all operating machines have the correct material for assigned department, and items are placed/stored in the proper location and that all damaged goods/scrap are reported
- Deliver required products (parts, materials, finished goods, pallets, etc.) to the proper destination
- Respond to all calls for assistance/materials in a timely manner
- Communicate with other departments to ensure ticket completion for timely delivers to your assigned department
- May be required to assist assigned department on the line, to maintain in-house box inventory, to complete inventory cycle count, to unload deliverables, to move trucks to the bay for unloading, to unload receiving trucks in backlot and verify all paperwork.
- Empty trash bins as needed
- Check fork truck at the start and end of shift to determine if any maintenance is required and complete the safety check sheet daily.
- Report all outages to supervisor
- Clean up during shift as needed to be safe at the end
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Set the highest ethical standards for self and others
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Must have the ability to become fork truck certified
- Basic computer literacy, including the use of handheld scanning devices & printer
- Ability to read production schedule
- Ability to use common hand tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and efficiently
- Must wear required PPE (personal protective equipment)
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- High School diploma is preferred, GED required.
- We will consider additional experience in lieu of diploma.
- Ability to work in non-climate-controlled environment, heat and cold.
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Ability to stand prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to hear sounds and differentiate between them.
- Ability to visually understand distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and have color vision.
