- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that address the unique strengths, needs, and goals of each student.
- Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a sense of belonging, confidence, and self-advocacy.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, support staff, and families, to ensure holistic support and continuity of care.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies, assistive technologies, and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Monitor student progress through ongoing assessment, data analysis, and regular communication with stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing feedback, encouragement, and support to students, empowering them to overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay abreast of best practices in special education to enhance teaching effectiveness.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid California Teaching Credential with Special Education endorsement.
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs, preferably in a school or clinical setting.
- Passion for working with individuals with special needs and a commitment to fostering inclusivity and empowerment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the individualized needs of students and differentiate instruction effectively.
