Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Mechanic Assistant and be a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery and equipment. In this energetic role, you'll work alongside experienced mechanics to support the upkeep of vehicles, industrial machines, and electrical systems. Duties
Assist lead mechanics with routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of various machinery and vehicles. Use diagnostic tools such as the ohmmeter to measure electrical resistance and troubleshoot electrical issues accurately. Prepare work areas by gathering tools, parts, and equipment needed for repairs or maintenance tasks. Follow safety protocols diligently during all procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with safety standards. Support the disassembly and reassembly of mechanical components under supervision, ensuring proper handling of parts. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for each job. Participate in routine cleaning and organization of the workshop to promote a safe and efficient workspace.
Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail and troubleshooting. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as the ohmmeter for electrical testing. Basic understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and mechanical components. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. Ability to follow instructions carefully and adhere to safety guidelines at all times. Willingness to learn new skills and expand technical knowledge through hands-on experience. Prior experience or certification in automotive or industrial maintenance is a plus but not required. Pay: $ $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 50 per week
