Description

The American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) is the national medical society representing emergency physicians. Through continuing education, research, public education, and advocacy, ACEP advances emergency care on behalf of its 38,000 emergency physician members, and the more than 150 million Americans they treat on an annual basis.

Located in Irving, TX, we offer paid insurance plans (medical, dental, and vision), retirement, flextime, and more. This role is not open to remote employees; only applicants local to the area will be considered. For local employees, a hybrid schedule of in-office work and work-from-home is possible upon approval by the department director.

Some of the responsibilities of the Governance Manager include working with the leaders of the College, assisting with the management of governance activities for the College, managing the annual councillor allocation, certification, and credentialing process; managing the College's committee process; updating the bylaws and managing the awards nomination process.

Our ideal candidate has...

a bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
five years senior executive level administrative experience including functioning independently with minimal supervision, maintaining confidential information, coordinating projects and details, meeting deadlines, handling conflicting priorities, prioritizing, and organizing tasks, and strong oral and written communications.
proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
to travel occasionally.
attention to detail and organizational skills.

Other desired qualifications include previous experience in a non-profit association management organization along with experience with CRM, EPiServer and Click Dimensions.
