    The Legal Support Assistant ("LSA") program seeks recent and upcoming college graduates to support the Operations Department. The program will introduce the candidate to working in a high pressure, fast-paced environment of an international law firm. During the program, LSA's will be rotated through several Legal Departments and Practice Groups, gaining foundational knowledge and experience in a variety of administrative practices.

    Qualified candidates must be organized, exhibit a high degree of initiative, and use excellent judgment when handling matters. Candidates must also be well-spoken and work well both independently and in a team environment.

    Responsibilities
    • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external clients
    • Receive assignments from attorneys and attorney support teams and performing tasks
    • Utilize programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to create and edit materials as requested, i.e., closing-related materials, briefs, motions, and agreements
    • Coordinate and arrange meetings and conference calls, including special arrangements such as meals and technology set ups
    • Enter time and review time entries in Intapp
    • Create New Business Intake forms
    • Research information regarding clients, news reports, and background on a variety of topics, as requested by teams
    • Print, scan, organize, and distribute documents upon request, as well as coordinate with Document Services and Copy Center to arrange for custom reprographics/binding
    • Assist with billing processes and contact internal clients as appropriate and collaborate with finance team
    • Review, process, and audit expense reports, vendor bills, and check requests
    • Assist with special projects such as paper and electronic file maintenance, contact lists, and mailings
    • Provide overflow support as needed
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Maintain composure in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills with ability to deal with different personalities
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Manage multiple projects concurrently
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Positive and proactive attitude
    • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint); comfort with technology and ability to learn new software and applications
    • Maintain confidentiality dealing with sensitive information and client matters
    • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime as needed
    This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $55,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
