    Position Summary:

    Job Title:
    Production Team Lead

    Location: 100 NE Columbia Blvd, Portland OR 97211

    Duration: 06 months contract (Temp-to-Perm)


    Job Description:


    This role helps ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery and line shift leadership in manufacturing, by leading a key line of the business (technical, system or organizational) to deliver results defined by the compelling business need of the site.

    You ensure that key business results are achieved and for developing others to ensure the sustained continuity of technical mastery on the manufacturing line.

    Using a systematic approach, you use strategic thinking skills to ensure results are sustained over the long term.

    How you will contribute:


    In your lead role, you will ensure that safety, quality, cost, delivery, sustainability, and morale targets are achieved for the lines for which you are responsible by breaking down section targets into line and unit targets and ensuring that employees understand their individual performance goals related to the overall targets.

    In this role, you will also develop budgets and be responsible for costs control management, governance and compliance, loss elimination and workforce planning, including recruitment, retention, development, succession planning, and the identification of high potential team members.

    You will bring the following experience and knowledge:
    Preferred work experience in production & material planning, demand planning, inventory management & handling, Line Operations, and/or Forecasting
    Computer proficiency (MS Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Preferred experience in ERP (SAP) systems and Scheduling systems (Kronos).
    Communication skills (Verbal and Written), Analytical & Problem-solving skills, strong collaboration, and relationship management skills.

    More about this role:

    Education / Certifications:
    Bachelor's Degree Required (Operations, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering and Food Science preferred).
    Military and Logistics experience is welcome.

    Job specific requirements:
    Preferred 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
    Union labour management is a plus.
    Strong organizational and technical skills
    Preferred experience in Lean manufacturing and TPM.
    Continuous Improvement experience including Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis and Breakdown Elimination system.
    Proven leader with strong communication, time management, coaching, priority setting and change management skills.
    SAP Experience preferred.
    Food experience preferred.
    Union Experience preferred.

    $ $34.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 40 per week

    Education:

    Experience:
    Production Supervisor: 5 years (Required)

    Manufacturing: 3 years (Required)

    Food industry: 1 year (Preferred)
