    Job Description


    American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac IR unit at a Level I/II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of IR Tech experience and ARRT certification.

    Responsibilities

    Cardiac Interventional Radiology unit at an academic teaching hospital
    Caseload of 5–10 cases per day
    Procedures include interventional body and neuro procedures, endovascular interventions, abdominal and pelvic interventions, and genitourinary interventions
    Equipment includes closure devices, EKOS, and GE and Philips Angio Suites, with sterile procedure and equipment setup required
    Charting via Epic (Radiant and Q-site); experience preferred
    4x10 hour day shifts, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
    Every other weekend and applicable holidays required
    On-call requirement of up to 3 nights per 7-day period, 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
    Floating within skillset is required
    First-time travelers are accepted for this position
    Local candidates are accepted
    Former employees of the RWJBH health system (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
    RTO requests made after an offer will not be accommodated; candidates should confirm all scheduling needs prior to acceptance
    No block scheduling is available; all schedule requests must be approved at the time of booking
    Hospital-provided scrubs
    Approximately 1 hour of non-billable pre-start online modules required

    Requirements

    Minimum of 3 years of IR Tech experience required
    Active NJ or Compact license required; license required if applicable
    Current BLS and ARRT certifications required
    Teaching hospital experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
    Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating IR procedures
    Experience with closure devices, EKOS, and GE and Philips Angio Suites required
    Two current professional references required
