Brinks HomeTM is a leader in the smart home and residential security industries. We are currently seeking a determined and dynamic Commercial Alarm Technician.
Performs service, installation, and/or inspection of systems, working independently and with team members. Seeks and accepts guidance from senior personnel, while also providing guidance and support to those less senior. Perform installation and service of low voltage systems in accordance with Select Security's minimum installation standards, the National Electric Code, manufacturer's instructions, and Select Security's Safety Policy
Assist more senior technicians with the service of both basic and complex systems
Service and repair basic systems with minimal guidance
Operate job related mechanical equipment (bucket truck, scissor lift, trencher, etc.
Participate in after hours on-call rotation
Adhere to and maintain a working knowledge of all relevant company policies, manuals, and procedures
Other tasks as assigned by direct supervisor or Senior Leadership
Basic knowledge of low voltage electronic systems.
Prepared to learn Access, Fire, Intrusion, and VST.
Basic knowledge and understanding of IT and network infrastructure.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook).
Able to work independently, with little or no supervision while still providing a team-oriented attitude.
Willing to travel.
