- Minimum 5 years of experience in civil engineering or related field
- A.S. or B.S. degree in a related
- Experience in survey, design or municipal works is a plus
- Must have a working fluency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills
- Observe contractors work to verify compliance with the project/contract
- On pump station and treatment facilities, provide field review and coordination across various disciplines including structural, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and SCADA
- Review shop drawings and submittals
- Monitor construction activity on various municipal infrastructure projects including sewer collection and water distribution systems, pump stations, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Maintain a daily log of completed work activities; prepare spreadsheets (MS Excel) for contractor payment, test logs, punch lists, and photos / sketches of atypical condition
- Take measurements of completed work for payment and swing ties for record plans
- Provide insight on field design changes and payment claims for additional work
- Coordinate with client representatives, utilities companies, State DOT, and adjacent residents to update progress and minimize disruption to existing infrastructure (utilities and roads)
