Ward 1FNB is a busy and diverse surgical unit providing high-quality care across multiple specialties, including:

General Surgery
Orthopaedics
Urology
Gynaecology
Plastics


You will be supported by an experienced and approachable team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Enrolled Endorsed Nurses (EENs), Clinical Nurse Educators (CNEs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), and a dedicated Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).

About The Role

Reporting directly to the Nurse Unit Manager or Registered Nurse in Charge of Shift, you will be responsible for:

Safe medication administration
Pre- and post-operative surgical care
Wound and drain management
Assisting with activities of daily living
Monitoring and documenting patient progress
Delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care


This is an excellent opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse with surgical experience or someone eager to develop their skills in an acute surgical setting.

About You

Diploma of Nursing
Current AHPRA Registration
Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care
Compassion, honesty, and integrity
Reliable work ethic and strong teamwork skills

Desirable

Previous experience in surgical nursing (or willingness to undertake relevant training)
