Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Administer and score psychological test batteries evaluating cognitive, academic, neuropsychological, and assess patients' testing behavior and report observations in written and oral form for use by the neuropsychologist.

Perform specialized test measures/procedures including those patients, which are difficult, complex or have disorders in a specialty, in order to assist neuropsychologists and other medical professionals in treatment decisions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required:

One of the following:

• Bachelor's degree
• Associate degree plus two years' experience focused on medical/psychological assessment
• Two to three years' post-secondary education

Preferred/Optional:
Bachelor's degree in Psychology and trained psychometric technician.


EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required:
Basic computer literacy and use of audiovisual equipment.

Preferred/Optional:
Familiarity of MCHS procedures, plus 1-2 years of experience on medical/psychological assessment.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. National Association of Psychometrists (NAP) Certification also preferred.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
