- Take charge of construction management duties on smaller projects, from resurfacing to bridge rehabilitation, ensuring every aspect meets our exacting standards.
- Conduct independent, complex inspections of roadways and structures, guaranteeing compliance with construction contracts and specifications.
- Lead or supervise routine inspections, ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
- Utilize your expertise to perform intricate calculations and computations, contributing to project success.
- Document contract details meticulously, including field measurements and other necessary documentation.
- Engage in project meetings and reviews, contributing your insights and expertise to drive projects forward.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology (4year curriculum) or Construction Management (4-year curriculum) Or degree in Civil Engineering Technology (2year curriculum) or Construction Management (2 year curriculum) and two (2) years of progressive transportation technical experience as an employee or consultant for a State Highway Agency. Or High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of progressive transportation technician experience as an employee or consultant for a State Highway Agency; or an equivalent combination of training and directly related experience.
- GDOT Worksite Erosion Control Supervisor (WECS).
- GDOT Field Concrete Technician Certification.
- GSWCC Level 1a (Erosion Control).
- Passing scores on GDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 1 (General Provisions, Auxiliary Items, Basic Highway Math, and Basic Highway Plan Reading).
- Passing scores on GDOT's Construction Engineering Inspection Training tests – Group 2 (Pavements, Bases and Subbases, Minor Drainage Structures, Construction Erosion Control).
