Job Description:

This position involves a variety of manual and grading tasks, such as setting grade markers, monitoring grade levels for earth moving equipment operators, and using different measuring instruments and hand tools. You'll work based on supervisor's guidance, handling tasks independently for most jobs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sets grade markers following construction plans.
• Operates and maintains grade equipment accurately.
• Uses Trimble equipment proficiently.
• Works punctually and efficiently to complete all assigned tasks.
• Communicates effectively with construction crew members for grade specifications.
• Inspects and operates Automated Machine Guidance (AMG) equipment.
• Handles file setup and production of maps for comparison.
• Provides support for UTS (robotic) paver.
• Assists in survey equipment setup and takedown.
• Performs labor-intensive tasks to support project completion.
• Works independently following directions.
• Utilizes general computer skills.
• Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Preferably a High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience.
• Ability to travel to job sites.
• Experience with GPS Rover a plus.
• Aptitude for following instructions.
• Detail-oriented and attentive.
• Can work independently or in a team.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Comfortable with general computer tasks.
