    Position Summary

    The Salvation Army Mankato Corps is doing the most good by providing holistic, person-centered services to individuals and families in need. In addition to worship services and pastoral care, services include short and long-term case management, food, clothing, utility, rent, emergency assistance, shelter, Maxfield Place housing program, and connections to community partners.

    The Senior Program Manager oversees Maxfield Place, a ten-unit, site-based, permanent-supportive housing program for single adults. Maxfield Place provides semi-furnished apartments, 24/7 staffing, case management, and connections to community resources. The Senior Program Manager oversees day-to-day operations including staffing, case management, property management, compliance and reporting, and fiscal responsibility.

    Essential Functions (approximate time spent)

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the housing program including case management, property management, programming, and staffing. (50%)
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, regulations, grants, contracts, and internal and external reporting. (25%)
  • Represent and promote The Salvation Army through the community and be accountable to stakeholders. (10%)
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility; assist with the development and monitoring of the annual budget in conjunction with Mankato Corps leadership and Divisional Headquarters finance department. (10%)
  • Ensure up-to-date, accurate participant information is maintained in casefiles and through database entry. (5%)
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Instead of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • If the degree is in social work, must be licensed by the state board.
  • Previous relevant experience in social services or property management required; experience may include employment, volunteering, or lived experience.
  • Previous program and staff supervision highly preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, meet MVR requirements, and pass background checks.
